Alma Har’el got in touch with me through the LAVA (Los Angeles Video Artist) meetings I was hosting at the time. She needed someone to build a system whereby Taylor Hawkin’s drum playing would directly drive live video projections. I built a custom setup in Isadora that read MIDI Triggers affixed to Taylor’s drums, and switched video clips, applied FX, and modified playback as he played his kit.
