Alma Har’el got in touch with me through the LAVA (Los Angeles Video Artist) meetings I was hosting at the time.

She needed someone to build a system whereby Taylor Hawkin’s drum playing would directly drive live video projections.

I built a custom setup in Isadora that read MIDI Triggers affixed to Taylor’s drums to switch video clips, apply FX, and modify the playback as he played his kit.

I rigged the drums for MIDI on-stage during the shoot and ran the projection tech.
